Personal Items
The Institute provides all mountaineering and clothing equipments to the candidates. Candidates are welcome to bring their personal mountaineering kit.
 

Candidates however must bring the following items:

 
1.
  Light hat for trekking.  One
2.
  Cap Balaclava (Woolen).  One
3.
  Under-wear sets.  As required
4.
  Light weight rain coat/umbrella.  One
5.
  Woolen socks of good quality.  Four pairs
6.
  Small torch with cells.  One
7.
  Writing material, pen & postage.  As required
8.
  Toilet requisites.  As required
9.
  Woollen Gloves and waterproof outers.  Two pairs
10.
  Goggles.  One
11.
  Waterproof cover for turban (for those who use turbans).  One
12.
  Rubber soled trekking shoes.  Two pairs
(PVC soles are unsuitable. Canvas shoes should be avoided)
13.
  Warm shirt and trousers.  One pair
14.
  Heavy woollen pullover.  One
15.
  Repair kit i.e. needle, thread.  One set
16.
  Cotton trousers, buttons, etc.  As required
17.
  Cotton shirt.  As required
18.
  Undergarments.  As per personal  requirement
19.
  A good Camera with films (strongly recommended).  3 to 4 films
20.
  Track Suit.  One set (Additional  Bottom)
21.
  Spoon.  One
